Deskripsi Pekerjaan
- Procures materials and services at the lowest cost consistent with the quality and services required. Maintains effective relationship with suppliers and requestors to ensure continuity of supply to support manufacturing schedule with minimum investment in materials inventory. Uphold high ethical standard of conduct in dealing with suppliers.
- Checks completeness of specifications and other pertinent information to warrant correct purchase.
- Informs and coordinates with requestors regarding status of their request. Improves monthly cycle time performance.
- Facilitates on-time delivery of requested materials and services.
- Negotiates with suppliers for the best price, payment terms, lower shipping cost and shorter lead-time. Prepares monthly cost savings report.
- Prepares purchase orders, checks the correctness and endorses for approval.
- Gets suppliers’ delivery confirmation and expedite delivery when needed.
- Makes routine order follow-up and check correctness and completeness of delivery.
- Reconciles with requestors, suppliers, receiving and accounts payable for any discrepancies. Monitors on-time payments made to suppliers.
- Evaluates suppliers’ performance and communicates results. Maintains effective relationship with existing suppliers and develop other sources, as needed.
- Searches the market continually for new and alternative ideas, products, services and materials whose adoption might improve company efficiency and profitability.
- Comply with PKI work standards, obtain proper corporate approvals and execute established Procurement Policy.
- Bids, negotiates, issues RFQs / RFPs, and evaluates suppliers for best price and delivery terms,
- Maintains strong vendor contacts, establishes new vendor relationships
- Keeps up with most current technology trends (expert in hardware, software, technology-related purchases)
- Purchase Order follow-up and tracking end-to-end with suppliers and requesters.
- Reviews and creates miscellaneous reports (incl. Departmental Savings updates, SAP update, other records as assigned)
- Maintains purchasing files
- Assists Accounts Payable in invoice reconciliation process
Kualifikasi Minimum
- College Graduate in Business or Engineering
- At least 3 years experience in Purchasing Department
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
