Job Description
- Looking for a Strong BigData Architect who has solved Business Problems at Scale
- Build a scalable & reliable data analytics platform for Engineers, Data scientists & other teams involved.
- Ownership of a vaguely defined major business problem or product vision & translate it into executable technical design and roadmaps to solve the problem or realize the product vision.
- Work with BigData tech stack such as Hive, Yarn, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka to build out a highly reliable, performant, easy to use software system
- Identify and solve major architectural problems by going deep in or broad across different teams.
- Extend, improve, or, when needed, build solutions to address architectural gaps or technical debt.
- Unified Data Platform for Customer, Product and Merchant on GCP.
- Design and implement our Data pipeline
- Use statistical techniques to help decision-makers throughout the company make better and more quantifiable decisions
- Demonstrate flexibility, sound decision making, and strong analytical and organizational skills
- Identify opportunities for improvement in data analytics and capability
- Driving the adoption of the best practices around coding, design, quality, performance & architecture.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical experience in building large scale products & distributed systems.
- Must have strong knowledge around Data Governance, Data Quality, varied Data Platforms & Searchable metadata
- Big Data Platform Architect, Hadoop cluster fine-tuning and Benchmarking
- Solid hands-on coding on BigData tech Stack & improve coding standards across large codebases
- Solid Big data Platform Engineering Concepts, good knowledge on Machine Learning, Data Science
- Solid experience on Google Cloud Platform
- Dataproc, Big Query, GCS, Dataflow
- Solid experience with languages like GoLang, Python etc. (We work on Go)
- Tensorflow, Spark ML, SciKit, PySpark, Scala
- Must have strong system design and OO skills with a nifty ability to craft clean interfaces and operate at the right levels of abstraction
- Good knowledge, understanding & experience of working with a large variety of multi-tier architectures. Awareness of pitfalls & use cases for a large variety of solutions.
- Good understanding & experience of high-performance web-scale & real-time response systems.
- Experience & exposure to a variety of large scale persistent systems including large databases.
- Hands-on experience with build and deploys best practices and technologies (containers, Jenkins, Terraform)
- You are well-versed in data-driven and data-informed product development
- You are comfortable with the nuts and bolts of software engineering, data engineering, and basic data science
- Strong analytical skills, as demonstrated through examples of past data projects that answered business-critical questions for the company
- Knowledge and practice of agile methodologies
- Familiarity with traditional data warehousing best practices, master data management, and big data solutions
- Work in cross-border/cross-discipline teams
- Strong work ethic, professional and personable
