The Ateneo de Manila Grade School Teacher is the primary formator in the classroom. As a model of the Jesuit principle of cura personalis alumnorum (personal care and concern for the student), he/she is greatly responsible for the development and holistic formation of the students.

Following the principle of special parental authority, an equally important task of the Grade School teacher aside from teaching is to attend to the welfare of students.

The Grade School teacher is based in a grade level and is a member of a subject area task force. The Quezon City Polytechnic was created on March 1, 1994 by virtue of the City Council Ordinance No. SP-171 an institution to primarily undertake the training and development of qualified technicians and skilled workers.

B. School Offerings for Advancement and Reinforcement (SOAR) and Summer 
Learning Program (SLP) Support

	<li>Receives and consolidates accomplished application forms of students and teachers</li>
	<li>Prepares letters, brochures, application forms, evaluation forms for students and teachers</li>
	<li>Prepares list of students, makes room assignments and bulletin board displays</li>
	<li>Monitors payment of students and coordinates with the Bursar Office for issuance of official receipts</li>

C. Instructional Materials Support

<ul>
	<li>Receives and consolidates exam questionnaires and instructional materials from Academic Coordinators and Subject Area Coordinators, and submits to the Assistant Headmaster for Academics for approval</li>
	<li>Coordinates with supplier for bulk reproduction of learning packets</li>
	<li>Prepares and processes Purchase Requisition and payment for supplier</li>
	<li>Assists in the distribution of learning packets by preparing the materials and coordinating with the assigned Messenger</li>

Administrative Assistant IV | Office of the Assistant Headmaster for Academics

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities: 
Under the supervision of the Educational Media Center (EMC) Coordinator, the Librarian for Non-Print is responsible for planning, administering, and supervising the programs and services of the Instructional Technology Center (ITC) of the Senior High School.

 
This position also supports the SHS’ plans and operations by ensuring the smooth function of the SHS-ITC to empower and support the academic, formation, and co-curricular programs of the school; and the University’s strategic plans by developing excellent systems (ad intra) of the SHS-ITC to support online and on-campus teaching-learning experiences of students and teachers, with a view to contributing to the school’s goal of becoming an excellent digital university.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

I. Operations Planning Support

<ul>
	<li>Assists the EMC Coordinator in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the programs, resources, services, and impact in the school</li>
	<li>Identifies and recommends Audio Visual instructional materials and equipment for purchase to supplement the school’s curriculum needs</li>
	<li>Plans and finalizes the annual budget for the ITC</li>
</ul>

II. Operations Implementation and Management

<ul>
	<li>Monitors budgetary expenditures for the purchase of non-print materials, supplies and equipment in accordance with the approved budget</li>
	<li>Communicates new acquisitions, policies and procedures through onsite (e.g., bulletin board displays, exhibits, etc.) and online platforms (e.g., website, social media, etc.) to the SHS community</li>
	<li>Champions media literacy in the school and educates faculty, staff, professionals, and students on the effective use of non-print materials, equipment, and other non-print resources</li>
	<li>Keeps and maintains accurate records of all non-print materials, equipment, and supplies</li>
</ul>

<ol>
	<li>Classifies and/or catalogs all non-print materials in varied formats</li>
	<li>Organizes and maintains the online digital repository system</li>
</ol>

<ul>
	<li>Assists in the supervision and evaluation of the ITC staff</li>
</ul>

III. Performs other office-related tasks as may be assigned by immediate supervisor or authorized representative.

Non Print Librarian Ateneo Senior High School

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Science Subject Area Coordinator, the Laboratory Technician supports faculty members for laboratory experiments and researches which involves preparing essential materials, configuring and overseeing necessary equipment, and ensuring smooth operational flow within the laboratory environment. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

<ul>
	<li>Provides support to teachers, laboratory technicians, and students for laboratory experiments and researches
	<ul>
		<li>Secures and prepares equipment and materials needed</li>
		<li>Guides laboratory users on safe use and handling of equipment and chemicals</li>
		<li>Observes laboratory experiments carefully and answers questions when necessary especially the Green Education activities</li>
		<li>Supports simultaneous classes when needed</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Ensures that the laboratory is functioning well, clean, and organized
	<ul>
		<li>Checks all laboratory and audio-visual equipment regularly and secures them when not in use</li>
		<li>Keeps all hazardous chemicals safely and neatly stored and safely disposes any hazardous wastes appropriately following established standards </li>
		<li>Performs troubleshooting and minor repair of equipment, as needed </li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Oversees the scheduling, upkeep, and maintenance of the proposed Green Education activities such greenhouse, hydroponics, aquaponics, etc. to ensure smooth operations and avoid facility and/or resource scheduling conflicts</li>
	<li>Performs first-aid emergency measures for accidents, and coordinates next steps for handling the emergency with the appropriate individuals/units as needed</li>
	<li>Monitors and secures experimental set-ups in the laboratory (indoor and outdoor) and external areas</li>
	<li>Assists laboratory technicians in the fabrication of improvised laboratory apparatus, etc.</li>
</ul>

I. Support for Science Subject Area

<ul>
	<li>Provides support and collaborates with faculty members in planning and managing Green education activities</li>
	<li>Assists in identifying requirements and specifications for fabrication work needed for projects/experiments, and carries out the actual fabrication of materials
	<ul>
		<li>Designs, constructs, fabricates, and/or improvises instruments and materials to facilitate convenience and safety in experimental set-ups (i.e., when they are not readily available or it requires further equipment customization/ fabrication work)</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Participates in brainstorming activities/consultations in relation to the execution of the AJHS’s Green Education Activities (Greenhouse, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, and etc.)
	<ul>
		<li>Oversees spaces used for Green education </li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Participates and collaborates during subject area faculty meetings by actively engaging, contributing insights, and staying informed about departmental matters 
	<ul>
		<li>Recommends improvements for laboratory session flows, laboratory management practices, etc.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Attends Science laboratory technicians’ meetings facilitated by the Subject Area Coordinator and the head technician to foster cohesive communication and sharing of best practices</li>
	<li>Keeps abreast of new laboratory technologies and equipment by attending training programs and workshops, and translates acquired knowledge by providing practical recommendations for the subject area </li>
	<li>Performs research and benchmarking with other schools to recommend latest available laboratory technologies </li>
	<li>Actively participates in Emergency Response and Safety efforts of the school, particularly those pertaining to the laboratory facilities</li>
	<li>Serves as a wing proctor during periodical examinations</li>
</ul>
