Job Description
The Role: As Senior Business Development Executive, you will be in an individual contributor role responsible for taking the lead on sales initiatives in Manila, identifying new business opportunities across the Commercial Banking & Insurance (CB&I), Investment Banking & Private Equity (IBPE) & Investment Management (IM) segments. The solutions span across our desktop business (company intelligence, research, analytics) and more complex solutions such as credit risk consulting, credit analytics and enterprise datafeeds. This position will be responsible for managing our expansion into the Philippines market, running the office on a day to basis and developing and executing the growth strategy for the market. They will also carry a sales goal for selling our more complex solutions (credit risk consulting services) into the CB&I segment and contributing to the overall revenue generation of the team.

The Impact: Help grow S&P Global Market Intelligence’s footprint in the key Philippines market by providing leadership and coaching to the team and utilizing your sales experience and connections to help the team close business.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the sales strategy for the Philippines, taking into account industry/regulatory requirements, market trends and client requirements.
- Support and coach the team in deal creation/progression/closing, in particular with more complex sales.
- Responsible for selling more complex solutions such as credit risk models, credit analytics and enterprise datafeeds into a small, defined territory.
- Develop and nurture deep and strong relationships with client organisations, addressing their needs, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This includes specifically reaching out to ‘C-Suite’, senior institutional & commercial lenders, senior credit & risk officers (eg. Chief Risk Officers, Heads of Credit), chief financial officers, etc.
- Develop an exceptional understanding of, and stay current on, the S&P Global Market Intelligence products and solutions and their application to specific job functions
- Produce accurate sales forecasting for the team and keep an up-to-date pipeline, contacts and meeting notes in SalesForce CRM system

Minimum Qualifications
- More than 7 years of direct sales experience in the institutional financial markets, preferably working with commercial lending banks & insurance.
- Analytical capabilities in the areas of credit risk, financial modeling and valuation analysis is highly desirable. Preferably with relevant experience handling credit risk solutions.
- CFA qualifications or MAppFin is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong personal integrity and a confident and positive manner
- Entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrates drive, initiative, energy and sense of urgency
- Work effectively in a team-based environment as well as independently
- Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in an ever-changing environment.
