We're looking for an SEO Specialist to be part of Magic's Internal Team! The SEO Specialist will implement SEO strategies as well as optimizing landing page and website performances.
Job Type: Full-time, Work from home
Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite and offsite SEO
- Perform keyword research and competitive analysis
- Understand and implement technical SEO audits and changes
- Execute on-page optimizations
- Implement changes in content management systems (CMS)
- Manage content production and collaborating with the content writing team, and supporting them on SEO
- Devise and execute methods to track, report, analyze and improve SEO performance
- Collaborate with the SEO manager and other in-house marketing teams
- Develop new SEO tests and strategies
- Present and communicate SEO strategies and projects to clients and/or internal stakeholders
- Serve as the key SEO expert/advocate
- Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, strategies, and algorithm changes
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years experience in SEO
- Google certification is preferred but not a must
- Must have a portfolio
- Experience working with CMS and building/administering content in CMS environments desired: Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administrations
Competencies:
Web Design & Development – At a basic level, understanding enough HTML to apply a keyword strategy in high-priority places and work effectively in a site structure or CMS.
Copywriting & Blogging – Whether its marketing collateral, article generation, or copywriting with an SEO focus is fundamental
Web Server Administration – There will always be a need to handle requests specific to the web server, such as URL rewrites, .htaccess, DNS, proxy servers, etc…
Online PR/Promotion – There’s value in backlinks. It’s important to establish relationships with these people before asking for the link request, or at the least, have the campaign in place to reach out productively. Old-school link requests are (mostly) dead and there is only so much value online directories will have for more competitive keyword niches.
