Job Description
- He/she will supervise all accounting personnel assigned in the areas of payroll, payable, cost accounting, credit and collection and general accounting in the performance of tasks within the set time frame such as:
- preparation of full set of books for financial reports and income tax returns;
- review and consolidation of the company’s financial plan;
- disbursement within authorized amount;
- timely and accurate billings based on contracts;
- accounting transactions properly documented, authorized and accounted;
- and preparation of department’s budget.
- He/she will ensure proper compliance with the latest government rules and regulations regarding payment of taxes, duties and required reports.
- He/she will coordinate with the external auditor regarding fiscal year audit and will ensure that: accounting schedules/documents needed are available when required; proper replies are made to all audit observations; and audited financial statements are available to all users.
- He/she will review and will approve all accounting transactions and proper reflection of the same in the book of accounts.
- He/she will take charge of the preparation and the timely submission of financial statements, budgets, and reports required by any department or by the management.
- He/she will set up, will evaluate, and will review all accounting/financial policies and internal accounting control system.
- He/she will represent the company in meetings, fora and other functions initiated by the government and associations where the company is involved or concerned.
- He/she will perform other accounting-related tasks that may be required to be able to carry out his/her functions properly.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (CPA / MBA preferred)
- Must have a working knowledge on all aspects of finance / accounting gathered from at least five (5) years of work experience, two (2) years of which is in a supervisory capacity
- Must have excellent communication skills, both in oral and written English and Filipino
- Must have integrity, sense of maturity and ability to relate effectively to different types of people in the organization
- Capable of teaching and training people
- Must possess a pleasant personality and good moral character
