Job Description
- Provides IT support services, takes direction from more senior individuals and assists in problem identification and resolution. The primary responsibility is to respond to and resolve both client problems and requests and to ensure a high level of system availability and client satisfaction. Provides second level support to all applications supported.
- Responds to escalations received from any team on workstation events and problems. Resolution expected within the contracted Service Levels for all client supported software, hardware, and LAN infrastructure. The knowledgebase as appropriate
- Participates in various Team and Project meetings. Expected to receive, understand and execute on assigned tasks.
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of client specific documentation in support of a standard operating environment.
- Plans appropriate execution of own tasks so that time is effectively used and progress can be monitored
- Thoroughly reviews Request for Change (RFC’s) requesting deployment into the non-production environments prior to approving.
- Interacts with project managers, Change Management, developers, Help Desk etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Equivalent Bachelor's degree
- 2-5 years relevant IT experience
- Good working knowledge of technical skills within one of the core relevant technical proficiencies:
- Operating System, Data Base, Network, Rational Tool Sets
- Knowledge and experience with IS systems and the SDLC methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead self, peers and teams as required. Proven ability to work with minimal supervision in a team atmosphere. Good learning skills; good analytical and problem-solving skills; good
- planning and organizing skills; attention to details
- Good coordination skills
- Good customer service and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, prioritization and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to handle a steep learning curve
