Senior Accountant  

This is a hands on financial accounting role that will be responsible for the overall day to day accounting and reporting of the business, including 1) financial statement preparation and reconciliation 2) Philippine government reporting and filings, 3) procurement, 4) payroll including Manila tax computation

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established monthly/quarterly schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance, and analyse issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention
• Experience in Philippine government reportings/filings (Business permit, taxes, contributions)
• Procurement experience including at a policy setting level
• Payroll responsibilities for Philippines and international offices, including Manila tax computation
• Taxation experience for Philippines and Australia.
• Cash handling responsibilities
• Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with external audits
• Recommends and implements improvements to financial procedures
• Detail oriented, and consistently exercises discretion as well as judgment in job performance.
• Prepares technical reports and documentation and retains financial records to ensure compliance with industry and operational requirements.

• 3-5 years’ experience
• Strong technical financial accounting skills
• Experience from big 4 accounting firm highly regarded
• Xero experience an advantage
• Strong attention to detail, for instance for reconciliations and month end
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to identify any issues that arise, but also find out the reasons why there were issues, and to propose solutions.
• Ability to function well in a tight knit and cohesive team
• Willing to work at our BGC office everyday
