Business Analyst  

The role shall enable understanding between internal, external clients, and Research and Development teams by ensuring successful completion of business requirements definition and scoping, development, and user testing of product features and enhancements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Define, analyze, and scope business requirements, functions and processes extensively.
  • Collaborate with clients and end-users to define and document business needs and objectives, current processes, problems, input and output requirements, business rules, and levels of system access
  • Expand requirements through discussions, document analysis, task and workflow analysis, and documenting specifications, storyboards, and scenarios
  • Analyze the feasibility of requirements ensuring alternatives have been carefully considered and the chosen solution meets the business objective and needs of the clients and end-users
  • Conduct business process reengineering and recommend solutions to be developed in consultation with the Product Manager for possible impact on internal and external stakeholders
• Proactively work with internal, external clients, and Research and Development teams to optimize the development of products/enhancements and facilitate necessary clarifications. Act as a liaison between business users (internal and external clients) and developers in understanding the requirements.
• Organize, conduct, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) with the appropriate project stakeholders. Prepare UAT Plan (test cases, test scripts, if needed, acceptance criteria) and document UAT Report.
• Provide assistance in application testing and validating involved with system testing
• Fully documents, tracks, and document changes of product/project including but are not limited to:

• Functional requirements specifications
• Workflow charts and diagrams
• Procedures and guidelines
• UAT plan and UAT report
• Application changes
• Troubleshooting guidelines

• Document any key project decisions, action items, issues, and other pertinent information.
• Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching users.
• Research and gather data from various sources – such as surveys, reports, user feedback, interaction data, competitors – as insight to propose new products, features and enhancements for development to improve existing product portfolio.
• Maintain client and stakeholder confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Participate and contribute to the continuous process improvement of the organization.

• At least five years experience as a Business Analyst in Software or Web applications industry
• Proven experience in business requirements scoping and testing
• Strong background in project documentation – including translating business requirements into complete functional requirement specifications covering user stories, user journey and product features; UAT plans and reports
• Strong analytical thinking skills who thrives on solving problems to create the best user experience
• Organized, with keen attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of independence
• Familiar with Agile methodology
• Effective time and task management skills. Works well under pressure and takes constructive criticism.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including technical writing
• Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus
