Content Writer  

The position serves as a writer, particularly for the website, and manages social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram, to support strategic initiatives of the department. Reports to the Digital Strategy Manager but works closely with SEO Engineers.

The following are the responsibilities of a Content Writer:

• Optimizes web copy throughout the site to optimize SEO.
• Creates and posts content in social media communities.
• Applies social media best practices to optimize reach and engagement across social media channels.
• Writes compelling and original articles.
• Researches and writes articles for various topics to catch the search engine eyes with keyword densities.
• Edits and checks errors in the articles.
• Prepares a keyword portfolio of highly competitive keywords and soft words.
• Conducts research for new keywords
• Writes copies that increase the search engine traffic for their websites.
• Performs other related duties relevant to the work described herein.

• Holds a background in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations.
• 1 year writing experience.
• Strong writer with the ability to adapt tones to suit topics.
• Excellent grammatical and technical writing abilities.
• Strong understanding of the role of content marketing.
• Proficient in the following digital platforms:

  • Google Plus
• A basic understanding of SEO would be an advantage.
