Accounting Assistant  

Reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounting Assistant for Financial Reporting is responsible to help management with business decisions by preparation of financial reports, and ad hoc.

• Responsible for the day- to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas.
• Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas.
• Performs monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis
• Investigates and reports to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties.
• Analyzes data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed
• Prepares financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested
• Provides timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the Company’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
• Maintains and develops various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review.
• Demonstrates appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them.
• Describes an insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to business area partners and management to drive business results.

• Must be BS Accountancy graduate
• Knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Navision is a plus.
• At least 1 year experience in accounting
• Familiarity with accounting and finance practices and principles
• Must have extremely strong MS Excel skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Must have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and skills
• Working knowledge of analysis and reporting tools
