General Accountant  

The General Accountant will work closely with company’s finance team to manage financial functions including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, tax filing, payroll, and audits. He/she must have strong analytical skills to create detailed financial reports and forecasts.

Key Accountabilities:

Reporting directly under the Finance Team Lead, The General Accountant is accountable for the following:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis – responsible for the accounting system administration and the month-end/year-end closing process. This includes the preparation of financial statements and account reconciliations. He/she will also prepare comparative analysis reports on the Profit and Loss to be presented to the management.

2. Payroll services – responsible for the review of payroll related computations and transactions, including compliance reporting.

3. Audit & Statutory Compliance – preparation of tax reports and other statutory compliance documents including audit. Ensuring that all these reports are submitted on time. General accountant will also participate in regular tax audits.

4. Cash Flow Management – ensures that the cash position of Straightarrow maintains to support its operations.

5. Others - supervision of accounting specialist

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related courses

• CPA license preferred but not required

• Minimum five (1) years relevant experience

• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Netsuite, SAP)

• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas)

• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, payroll, tax laws, and regulations

• Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data

• Experience with BIR eFPS, SEC OST, eGOV

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Must possess a problem-solving attitude and displays strong leadership skills

• Ability to prioritize work, and render extended hours if needed
