Data Engineer  

We are looking for a curious, multitalented Data Engineer to:

• Design, build, test, and document work on scalable data flows/pipelines and data models
• Set standards and implement processes to ensure data quality and accessibility
• Build out new data/API integrations to support continuous changes in data volume and complexity
• Collaborate with stakeholders including data/analytics, design, product, tech and business teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues
• Prepare both structured and unstructured raw data for data science and analytics; improve data models that feed business intelligence tools
• Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data issues
• Evaluate vendors and tools (open source or otherwise) to improve our data infrastructure
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards, best practices, and advancements
• Works closely with all business and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture

• Previous work experience in data engineering (3-5 years)
• Proficiency in data cleaning, transformation, processing, & storage (ETL/ELT)
• Experience with data warehouses and data lakes; expertise in relational and non-relational databases, SQL; cloud services (preferably AWS)
• Solid software engineering fundamentals (Python, APIs/microservices, automated tests, ) and proven ability to collaborate within a team
• Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills, excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate with and communicate plans to internal stakeholders

Nice-to-have:

• Proficiency in business intelligence/dashboarding tools
• Previous experience with data architecture design patterns, data modeling
• Experience with big data tools and processing, workflow management and pipeline tools
