Editor 1 (Transcripts)  

The Role: Responsible for creating a publication-quality transcription of teleconferences and webcasts of corporate earnings calls with the use of speech recognition software.

Your Skills: Proofreading, fact-checking and editing high-quality transcripts while listening to an audio of webcasts/conference calls covering financial reports of corporations worldwide

Other Role/Duties

• Proofread and edit transcripts against the audio of the event

• Perform Internet research to confirm all terminology, products, and names

• Maintain a low error rate, contributing to very high-quality transcripts

• Assist in maintain terminology databases

• Work cooperatively with other editors and with other roles within transcript

Requirements:

• Excellent written, oral communication and listening skills in English

• Typing and computer application skills

• Excellent eye, hand, auditory coordination, editing, and proofreading skills

• Ability to concentrate, focus and deliver consistently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Familiarity with financial markets and business organizational vocabulary is a huge plus

• Willing to work on a graveyard shift

• Excellent written, oral communication and listening skills in English

• Typing and computer application skills

• Excellent eye, hand, auditory coordination, editing, and proofreading skills
