Financial Controller - Parent and Consolidation  

The role ensures that consolidated financial statements are reported correctly according to PRFS/IFRS/GAAP in coordination with other Business Unit Finance teams. He/She will provide strong leadership and management support to the Corporate Controller in driving financial reporting excellence and compliance to prescribed standards and regulatory requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the groundwork for the quarterly and annual regulatory reporting requirements for the entire conglomerate including interim and annual financial audit process.
• Aligns the entire organization in the adoption of new accounting standards and policies and researches/updates SEC regulations/requirements.
• Overall in charge of the financial reporting and BIR/local tax requirements of the Parent and Trademark companies.
• Ensures consolidated reports are accurate and in line with appropriate accounting principles and standards; implements process changes or systems as necessary.
• Financial statements analysis (consolidated Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cashflow)
• Monthly executive committee and quarterly BOD presentation materials
• Flash sales and earnings reporting to senior management, JG Summit and Dairy Farm
• Prepares Monthly Performance Review package for the consolidated results and updates/improves templates for adoption of the Business Units.
• Assists other legal entities with financial reporting queries
• Consolidates and prepares approval requests or guidelines for various transactions/activities (write-off, local tax, insurance, allocations, Finance Department budget, etc.)
• Reviews, monitors and reports operating expenses of Shared Services Functions and availment against approved capital expenditure budget.
• Finance scorecard tracking and reporting.

• Certified Public Accountant with at least 5 years of solid statutory reporting and financial accounting experience. Consolidation experience a plus.
• Preferably with minimum 3 years external audit experience
• Expert knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Communicates with impact; able to interact and collaborate with senior management and across different levels of the organization
• Strong leadership, technical, analytical, problem-solving and process-orientation skills
• SAP or other related ERP systems and MSExcel proficient
