Job Responsibilities:
- To maintain or exceed a daily quota of words translated (from English to Hiligaynon/Tagalog, Hiligaynon to Tagalog , or vice versa) with the highest quality possible.
- To perform “peer proofreading” and work collaboratively with fellow linguists when assigned or when the need arises.
- To research, compile and learn business, tools and technical terminologies
- To engineer documents and files in such a way that clients and suppliers are both happy with the results.
- Other language-related tasks as may be defined and assigned from time to time
Kualifikasi Minimum
Job Qualifications:
- Educational Attainment: At least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Linguistics, Languages, Literature, Translation Studies, Philippine Studies, Journalism or other related courses is required. Those who have taken up a few subjects in translation (translation theories, Filipino translations, etc.) will have an advantage.
- Languages: Applicants must be highly fluent in English and a native speaker of Tagalog and Hiligaynon.
- Must be techie (not afraid of the computer).
- Familiar with using e-mail and chat programs.
- Ability to work with CAT tools is a plus.
- Adept at multitasking but knows how to prioritize.
- Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be willing to report to office located in Antipolo/Marikina area.
