Database Administrator Lead  

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Database Administrators, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise.
• Oversee the design, creation, testing, and maintenance of our database systems.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of databases, addressing incidents and problems promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and optimize database structures.
• Perform routine database housekeeping tasks, including performance tuning, indexing, and optimization.
• Design and implement database backup, archiving, and storage strategies.
• Monitor database usage, transaction volumes, response times, and concurrence levels.
• Create and maintain database standards and policies to ensure consistency and best practices.
• Lead efforts in troubleshooting and resolving complex database-related incidents.
• Plan and execute database-related projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience 5+ years working as a Database Administrator
• Proficient in at least two of the following Database Platforms: MSSQL, DB2, PostgreSQL, TigerGraph, Informatica.
• Strong expertise in database design, creation, and testing.
• Leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team of Database Administrators.
• Experience in routine database housekeeping tasks, including performance tuning and indexing.
• Solid understanding of database monitoring and optimization principles.
• Familiarity with database backup, archiving, and storage strategies.
• Knowledge of database security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work on a shift basis, including participation in on-call rotations
