Business Systems Specialist  

Manages and supports application systems used for business process automation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) , Point of Sale (POS) and other associated subsystems. Provide support to users system-level support for users operating systems, hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance and support of these systems. Identifies alternatives for optimizing computer resources.

Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements.

Duties and responsibilities, are the following but not limited to

• System Development, Maintenance and Support
  • Develops and implements systems to improve and simplify data processing transactions and minimize manual processes.
  • Integrates different systems to be able to centralize information and manage them.
  • Develops business reports (either via spreadsheets, Crystal Reports, web and other formats) needed by the management for planning and decision making.
  • Manages Windows server environment and SQL server.
  • Keeps abreast with the latest developments in ERP and POS
• Technical Support
  • Provides effective solutions and prompt support to user’s technical needs or issues, whether it be hardware or software.
• Online Technology
  • Provides web-based system support (website and intranet) of the Bible Society in coordination with WebCom or outside developers.
  • Performs maintenance activities of web-based systems like backup creation, folder securities, user account management, site visit monitoring and other related task.

• A graduate of Computer Science, Info Tech or Computer Engineering or any related course
• At least a year experience in handling system/ business analysis and processes
• Has basic skills in hardware and programming languages.
