Deskripsi Pekerjaan
- To ensure each store has the appropriate levels of roasted coffee according to Artís Coffee standards
- The Lead Roaster will be responsible for training all location staff on proper production operations
- The Lead Roaster will be responsible for tracking and maintaining inventory levels of both green and roasted coffee as well as utilizing store staff to accomplish all roasting needs.
- The Lead Roaster will manage the Roasting Schedule and to ensure the Roasting Schedule is adhered to and updated with any changes.
- The Lead Roaster will place green coffee orders to Store Support for weekly delivery.
- This position is based on a barista role — the Lead Roaster will remain a barista, working shifts at the coffee bar, and helping to run the retail floor.
- The Lead Roaster is expected to serve as a resource for all coffee questions from customers, serving as an in-house expert. They exemplify customer service even when not directly involved in retail operations.
- The Lead Roaster will be responsible for roasting samples and hosting cuppings related to the green coffee buying program.
- The Lead Roaster will operate the roast bar, with goals to reduce production costs, improve inventory accuracy and predictability, improve roast profiles, and achieve maximum consistency across roasts.
Kualifikasi Minimum
- Good pallette — nonsmokers strongly preferred.
- At least two years customer service experience.
- Has the ability to see situations from both a customer’s and a barista’s perspective; empathy is the most important prerequisite for training.
- Has a calm, patient, methodical problem-solving approach.
- Experience with excel a plus.
- Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in processes or customer service issues and has strong communication skills.
- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Artís. Maintains and models a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events.
