Desktop Support  

Responsibilities:

• Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects and broadband providers on network optimization
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations Manage project priorities, deadlines, workflow, and deliverables
• Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of network setup and administration experience, preferably in a lead position
• Network (WAN/LAN) design, implementation, and maintenance experience
• Working software experience with all Microsoft Server products, OSX, Linux, Application Flows, DNS and Virtualization. Working hardware experience with Dell Sonicwall, Ruckus, HP Switches and Servers, PC, Mac, Android, and iOS devices, or equivalents
• Proficient communication and written skills in English

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelors degree, further education or experience in computer science or other technical field
• 5 years of network setup and administration experience, preferably in a lead position
• Interest and ability to learn other software and hardware
