Accounting Clerk  

ACCOUNTING CLERK

Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors. Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the general ledger system. Input type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records. Work with adding machines, calculators, databases and bank accounts.

Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers; prepare and analyze budgets; and perform general bookkeeping. Also responsible for billing activities, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Documents financial transactions by entering account information. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
3. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
4. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
5. Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
6. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
7. Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
8. Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
9. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
11. Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.

• Graduate in Accounting course
• Experience in Accounting position is a plus
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Knowledge in MS Excel and Word
• Knowledge in accounting software is a plus
