SAP Basis Specialist  

The SAP Basis Specialist will work and collaborate with the Sr. SAP Basis to ensure that SAP system landscape and other integration points are stable and secure. As a team, endeavor to safeguard the systems especially the Production systems/clients against costly outages. The candidate will need to thrive in the SAP Shared Service environment and have interests beyond the monitoring, analyzing and troubleshooting of SAP Basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to SAP transport management approval process before moving any transport request to any system or client within the SAP landscape.
• Handle SAP System Client copy, refresh, license management
• Support Security and user access management to ensure fulfillment of user and role management requests, such as provisioning roles to new hires, add/modify authorization levels in line with change in job role, etc.
• Configure and maintain SAP Routers
• Investigate and perform application performance monitoring, tuning and optimization to resolve performance issues
• Perform regular health checks, take SAP traces and logs and perform workload balancing
• Implementation and installation of required SAP Kernel, patches, supports packs
• Perform SAP system housekeeping such as spool retention and deletion management

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience in SAP Basis.
• Technical background with knowledge of system sizing and architecture and knowledge of Basis HANA is a plus.
• Good fundamental knowledge on operating systems and VMware is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the principles and techniques of systems analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation in accordance with SDLC methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as customer service skills
