Finance Analyst CPA  

The Investment Analyst will be an integral part of Liberty's accounting & investment team

You will conduct comprehensive due diligence on our business strategy, including financial, legal, and operational diligence, and provide investment committee recommendations. You will contribute to and support internal learning processes that will help shape and influence Liberty's business model to better achieve sustainability and expand its ability to reach scale

• Build and manage financial models, including underlying project operating pro formas, to analyze and structure investments and evaluate the associated risks
• Financial, business and industry due diligence on new investment opportunities
• Perform financial reviews of existing portfolio companies and general portfolio monitoring
• Financial planning and analysis including forecast/budget, operating and business performance metrics and ad-hoc analysis
• Lead in the preparation of monthly report pack and other business reporting to the Corporate Group
• Supports sales, marketing, and accounting/finance in creating budget/forecast, expense tracking, and control
• Monitor cost-center expenditures versus budgets and forecasts;
• Reviews business plans, trends, and contracts for accuracy and forecasting purposes
• Drives solutions to operations and financial issues
• Some Accounting duties including revenue and expense reconciliations and journal entries
• Ensure corporate financial procedures and policies are properly implemented and enforced
• Leads tasks aimed at improved accounting/forecast cycle processes
• Supports in investment (including CAPEX) appraisal/monitoring

• Strong attention to detail
• 3-4 years full-time, relevant work experience as explained in the job description
• Solid understanding of accounting and finance, preferably CPA
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with extensive financial modeling and analysis experience
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with debt and project finance transactions and documentation is a plus
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative, entrepreneurial environment
• Self-starter, dependable and reliable, excellent at taking initiative, can work independently without close supervision, and be a supportive team member
