Assistant Product Manager  

1. Assist in preparing and securing approval of marketing plans for assigned products, including detailed summaries of sales forecasts, demand generation programs, advertising and promotions budgets, and financial projections on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
2. Assist in preparing and securing approval for new products, product extensions, and product improvement plans with sufficient rationale, costs, profit projections, launch plans, and contingency alternatives.
3. Assist in developing and executing Brand Communications, Promotional, and Market Research programs for assigned brands.
4. Evaluate results of implemented plans and programs and make prompt recommendations to correct variances.
5. Assist in preparing monthly brand performance reviews, monthly forecasts, and promotional workplans to ensure achievement of volume and profitability objectives.
6. Actively participate in the market development process by providing sales, distribution, wholesale, retail, and competitive insight to the management team.
7. Ensure that expenses are kept within budgets or prescribed expense to sales ratio through regular monitoring and other means as may be necessary.
8. Ensure that operational procedures, systems, and regulations are followed in all activities.
9. Conduct regular trade visits to develop stronger relations with key customers and be kept updated on trade and competitive developments.
10. Establish required coordination programs within the company and with suppliers, distributors, and other units to ensure efficient implementation of programs and harmonious company operation.
11. Provide prompt attention to administrative and operational problems affecting performance of assigned brands.
12. Maintain high degree of professionalism in dealing with suppliers, customers, and others to enhance the image of the company.
13. Maintain security of company assets and information.
14. Interface effectively with other departments within the company.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• College or University degree (preferably in a business-related field)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good statistical and numerical ability
• Good time and project management skills
• Ability to work individually and collaboratively
• High level of initiative and assertiveness
• Excellent computer skills (Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Powerpoint)

MINIMUM RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year experience in Brand / Product Management
• Proven knowledge of marketing principles, including market and customer research
• Proven track record in conceptualization and implementation of Advertising and Promotional programs, and application of market research findings in the achievement of corporate sales, market share, and profitability objectives
