Android Developer - Gramedia Digital Nusantara  

Builds and maintains Android applications, providing features specified by the Product team, ordinarily, that communicate with RESTful APIs. You are responsible for working with both an appointed QA member and designer to decide upon specifications before building the application and estimating all the tasks which are required for a given feature. You will also be responsible for assisting Jr. level developers when they require it.

Responsibilities

Long-term build and maintenance of Android applications. Maintain repeatable, auditable, automation testing for both mobile and web applications. Develop testing strategies for ensuring the performance of web applications under load. Manually perform UAT against all application features.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience
• Strong mastery of Java and Kotlin
• Familiar with MVVM
• Have published App on PlayStore
• Experience with testing and automation tools
• Strong understanding of UX concepts in Android
• Ability to work with very little supervision
• Ability to communicate and work with a team; providing assistance to Jr. developers when required
• Passive English skills
• Good understanding of Android version difference
• Proper knowledge on Android application design pattern and best practices
• Can work on a tight deadline

• Active English communication skills a plus!
• Experience communicating with restful APIs
• Understanding of security and data encryption
• Understanding of Test Driven Development
• Understanding of Android application build process and customization
• Experience on application publish process
• Keeping up with Android OS development and future changes
• Understanding of Reactive and Functional Programming
