Deskripsi Pekerjaan
- The role will be an integral part of a global team that will help convert a legacy character-based system into a modern, responsive, web-enabled enterprise application. Python and Django within a bespoke development framework will be used for the enterprise application.
- The role involves: building controllers interfacing with a data model using ReSTful Web Services, middle tier views, and front-end screens. To meet the complex layout requirements of the system, the front-end screens require web-forms and pages using HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, and dynamic Django templates.
- And as needed, contribute to the extension of the architectural framework to create a strategic, generic, and flexible approach in developing the screens.
- The project involves working with systems analysts and developers based in the UK as well as a team based in Manila.
Kualifikasi Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Math or related area.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years working experience using Python and Django
- Experience developing, using, and maintaining RESTful Web Services
- Experience building web based forms including detailed knowledge of CSS stylesheets, Javascript and JQUERY. AJAX skills are a plus
- Working understanding of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL is a plus
- Experience building and maintain continuous integration tests using Jenkins and Python
- Working experience with source code management (preferably Git), testing frameworks (preferably nose and Python unittests), code packaging, and build/release processes
- Strong Linux and/or AIX Unix skills
