Object Oriented Programmers | L11  

Job Description - Overview:
An object-oriented programmer is responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the client's Retail banking environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the corporate systems architecture.

Key Job Functions and Duties:
➢ Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
➢ Work closely with lead developers to implement Python application architectures and
designs.
➢ Produce documents including design documents, and class diagrams.
➢ Perform testing with technical peers and functional end-users to ensure a successful launch of development projects.

General skills:
➢ Strong Python experience in a development facility like SecDB or Athena.
➢ Distributed message system design and development.
➢ Working knowledge of Unix/Linux
➢ Exposure to Front and Middle Office functions and controls

Desired Experience & Qualities
➢ 3+ years of software development experience
➢ 3-5 year of Object-Oriented Programming experience
➢ Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. GIT, SVN, etc.)
➢ Testing (unit, integration, etc.), along with test automation.
➢ Agile development life-cycle experience
➢ Good functional and technical knowledge of Retail Banking business solutions

Qualifications and Accreditations:
➢ Certified in Java, C++, C# or Ruby programming languages
Reporting structure:
➢ The OOP developer reports to the BPA customer lead
