Accounting Officer  

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Officer is mainly responsible for preparing financial reports and maintaining records of revenue and expenditure, payments and other financial activities. S/He performs Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) related tasks designed to maintain the integrity of the established processes and practices which include ensuring timely processing of payment requests, customer credit investigation, billing and supplier evaluation.

• Ensures account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely
• Ensures completeness and accuracy of accounting records
• Coordinates with other departments to expedite billing and payment procedures
• Ensures supplier evaluation and customer credit investigation are performed within the SLA

COMPETENCY REQUIRED:

• Intermediate competencies on Communication and Accounting/Bookkeeping
• Knowledge on AP process including purchasing, receiving and general Accounting interfaces
• Knowledge on AR process such as billing, collection and other accounting interfaces

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of work in accounting, bookkeeping or related clerical experience required
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration/Management or Mathematics or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge in accounting and financial management
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Knowledge and proficiency in using accounting software (such as SAP and other ERP)
