Duties & Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be trained and expected to learn and understand all aspects of the rail system technology and ensure managers, line leaders, IEs (Industrial Engineers), mechanics and operators are able to optimize it by setting up effective SOPs.
- Work with the supplier to ensure the rail system has the right features and functionality for the factory.
- Ensure the system is capturing unit output data correctly and is working to supply managers and industrial engineers with the data needed (using the company’s visual display systems)
- Ensure data is being interpreted and used effectively to improve the work flow (sewing line balancing)
- Work with the maintenance team and setup SOPs to ensure the hardware is cleaned and serviced frequently
- Candidate should be self-directed; able to coordinate their own training programs, drive improvement initiatives and deploy system upgrades [in partnership with the supplier]
- To ensure operators use the most effective method to handle and sew garments to minimise operation cycle time
- Take an innovative approach to setup new best practices and support the Group to be an industry leader in manufacturing technology
Kualifikasi Minimum
Job Requirement:
- Degree in Engineering majoring in Industrial, Manufacturing, Operations and related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years knit apparel IE/operations/technical experience
- Understands operations and process flow related to the construction of a garment – e.g. Fabric inspection, cutting, heat transfer, sewing, finishing, shipping
- Knowledge of GSD, sewing line layouts, operation cycles checks (SMV checks), line balancing, sewing machine types and operations. Specific textile/garment qualifications would be beneficial.
- Basic technical understanding of the sewing construction of apparel products
- Understands standard quality procedures, TQM, Kaizen, 6S and lean production concepts
- Understanding of production MRP and ERP system. Understanding of RFID tracking and UPS (hanger line) production methodology will be highly beneficial
- Understands and is able to prepare output and efficiency reports
- Able to read, write and speak fluently in English – should be able to clearly document and communicate ideas and instructions
