Visual Merchandiser  

Job Summary

The position is responsible for the conceptualization, design, and execution of merchandising settings, displays of stores and sale events based on basic store concepts, product thrusts and corporate objectives. It focuses on helping promote the Company and the merchandise it offers.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Creates, updates and implements visual merchandising guidelines and procedures
2. Ensures timely completion of display windows within reasonable costs
3. Sources materials and equipment required for execution of visual designs and ensures that expenses for such are within the budget allocated for the purpose
4. Handles roll outs of new store designs by ensuring a proper and accurate interpretation of the principal’s direction
5. Initiates visual merchandising campaigns, and upgrading of fixtures or introducing new concept or technology;
6. Conceptualizes seasonal window and product displays in assigned stores with the objective of enhancing product and competitive image, visual impact and customer drawing power
7. Researches on lifestyle and design trends to ensure its appeal to target audience and loyalty to corporate schemes and standards
8. Recommends materials, accessories, and fixtures necessary for store and window display and supervises its production for quality control
9. Surveys stores’ display on a regular basis and appraises their impact with reference to objectives set
10. Recommends ideas for store refurbishing, upgrading and/or improvements
11. Provides inputs in the construction and design process of new stores as well as those for renovation by checking store layouts and module designs

• Graduate of any related course such as Fine Arts, Fashion and Interior Design with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Highly creative and interested in art and design
• Proficient in both oral and written communications
• Has thorough knowledge of relevant computer software: MS Office, Adobe Programs
