Junior Design Engineer  

Job Summary

To provide quantity take offs, design calculations and other technical documents using the tender or contract documents provided by the client and ensuring compliance with the applicable standards.

Basic Function

• Reviews the documents provided by the clients and ensure the coherence and sufficiency of information.
• Coordinate with the Technical/Design Manager for the work planning.
• Prepare the preliminary design submittal for tenders.
• Produce the comprehensive detailed design for awarded projects.
• Allocate work to the draftsmen, supervise and monitor the production of shop drawings and take-off.
• Check the final drawings and forward them to the Technical/Design Manager for final approval.
• Review and update design as necessary and ensure that the last revisions are available.
• Review take off prepared by the draftsmen if any.
• Follow-up on submissions and coordinate with both the client and Operational Team in the absence of Technical Engineer.
• Maintain and save copies of all documents as described in the “Design-Engineering” procedure.
• Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs for tendered and on-going projects.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as may be required.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Board passer is an advantage;
• At least 1-2 years work experience. Experience in a construction company is a plus;
• Strong mechanical aptitude;
• Keen on details;
• Good written and oral communication skills;
• Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel programs;
• Capable of multitasking;
• Must be adaptable and willing to learn new skills;
• Responsible, well-organized and proactive;
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player;
• Willing to extend working hours as needed for deadlines;
• Willing to work in Makati Head Office;
• Able to start immediately;
