DevOps Engineer  

What You'll Do:

• Write scripts to automatically deploy all types of applications
• Programmatically create infrastructure in AWS
• Maintain AWS-hosted infrastructure and effectively scale it as demand dictates
• Maintain health, monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools (CloudWatch, etc.)
• Increase the sophistication of our alerting and escalation mechanisms
• Manage access to external servers running Linux and Windows
• Influence the direction of infrastructure policies
• Create, maintain, and iterate on our CI/CD processes for new and existing services
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
• Ensure all services are hardened and security best practices are followed during the automated CI\CD processes
• Keep up to date on modern technologies and trends and advocate for their inclusion within products when it makes sense
• Propose, scope, design, and implement various infrastructure architectures
• Help increase system performance with a focus on high availability and scalability
• Must thrive in an optimistic (ever-changing) environment
• Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment, fully competent in own area of expertise
• Move quickly and intelligently — see technical debt as your nemesis

Skills Needed:

• Knowledge of deploying to AWS Lambda or ECS using Cli Tools
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Python and Bash Scripting
• Practical experience of Docker and containerized environments
