Pollution Control and Health and Safety Officer

• Secure accreditation, permits, certificates for both person and company for compliance to present and applicable regulations and standards.
• Obtain, analyze, and evaluate the operational process, reports, and audit findings from gov’t agencies and flow charts.
• Ensures companies adherence to existing rules and regulation covering Pollution Control Decree of the Philippines.
• Prepares report findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions to be taken to ensure compliance.
• Participates in meetings and investigations of operations and processes. Meetings and training required by the government.
• Maintains liaison with government’s local pollution control office (DENR, MGB,Municipality).
• Recommends installation and operation of pollution control devices
• Continuously improve knowledge by being updated with trends, regulations, the best practice that can be applied to the company.
• Inspects materials, equipment, and personnel to ensure safety measures are in place and implemented. Practice First Aid and Rescue.
• Implements and monitors use of Personnel Protective Equipment, inspects quality and recommends issuance.
• Conducts regular meeting to remind personnel of Health and Safety protocols of the company.
• Reports safety man hours, incident reports and corrective actions taken.
• Coordinates with local agencies regarding updates of regulation for health and safety practice.
• Analyze working environment and condition and ensure compliance to standard safety practices.
• Participates in work related trainings and seminars and cascades information to the entire workforce.
• Prepares and present reports to management, recommends plans and programs for the improvement of the welfare of employee through health and safety practices.

• At least college graduate preferably in Engineering, Environmental Science or any related degree.
• Must have Pollution Control Accreditation from DENR and Health and Safety Certificate from Department of Labor.
• Basic First Aid Certification.
• At least 3-years of experience in the same job level capacity, preferably in Mining, Aggregate or Cement Industry.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
