Accounting Analyst (Disbursement) | Spiralytics  

Responsibilities:

• Reviews disbursements, accounts payable transactions, and supporting documents.
  • Prepares check vouchers for processing and approval.
• Examines accuracy of supplier statement of accounts and propriety of supporting documents.
  • Reconciles with company internal records.
• Liaises with supplier representatives for reconciliation and securing adequate supports for payable accounts.
• Assists in scheduling payment and release of checks.
  • Ensure coordination with bank representatives for deposit or payment transactions.
• Liaises with bank for updates on company bank account transaction balances, movements, and reconciliation of deposits and disbursements with company books.
• Performs petty cash custodianship functions such as:
  • Safekeeping
  • Recording
  • Disbursements
• Records transactions and maintains book of accounts such as:
  • Cash disbursement
  • Cash receipts
  • Sales Journal
  • General Journal
• Ensures accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications / postings to accounts and cost centers.
• Prepares monthly government report requirements such as:
  • SSS
  • Pagibig
  • Philhealth
  • Monthly tax compliance such as:
    • Income Tax on Compensation
    • Expanded Witholding Tax
• Assists the Accounting Manager in the preparation of:
  • Bimonthly payroll.
  • Update and maintenance of payroll / employee data.
  • Issuance of regular payroll information and reports to company, employees and government agencies.
• Assists in preparation of monthly financial statements and other schedules, data for variance, and other related financial analysis.
• Assists in balance sheet ledger accounts reconciliation, preparation of account schedules, and other trend analyses.
• Assists in the preparation of budgets and other related financial schedules / analysis for Spiralytics, Inc. and other subsidiary companies.
• Performs other duties and deliverables that may be assigned.

• Graduate of an Accounting course.
• Preferably CPA licensed (but not required).
• At least 1 year working experience in an accounting position
• With experience in the following:
  • General bookkeeping
  • Accounts receivable
  • Accounts payable
  • Invoicing
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Intercompany accounts reconciliation
  • Assistance in financial statement
  • Supporting preparation of schedules
• Exposure to basic Accounting software such as Quickbooks.
• Exposure to tax and fiscal compliance liaison work and regular submission of reports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
