Design Coordinator  

This is an office-based assignment at the Project Management Office in Muntinlupa City.

• Assists Office Engineers, Project Designers and Project Managers in the execution of specific assignments
• Review, negotiate and recommend for approval/disapproval on design change orders.
• Prepare documentation for design development and construction documents
• Coordinate the and monitor status of design incentive/disincentive programs complying with provisions of design subcontract.
• Coordinating with general building contractors to implement the plans and specifications to build the project.
• Keep all members of the team up-to-date with current information and paperwork
• Communicates with seniors and team members to ensure optimal strategy and maximum efficiency.
• Assist in the drafting and issuance of RFPs project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of project organization and communication charts.
• Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
• Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures
• Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team.
• Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Assist the Project Team in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval.
• Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database.
• Keep the Project Team and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or other related courses.
• Active PRC License is required
• Design skills and knowledge
• Knowledge of engineering science and technology
• 5 years of experience in Design/Construction projects.
