Accounting Assistant | Payables  

1. Prepares accounts payable vouchers in accordance with guidelines in recording payable transactions.

2. Make various general journal entries such as but not limited to accrual of expenses, reversal of accruals, amortization of prepayments, monthly revaluation of foreign exchange related payable accounts and other adjustments through accounting system.

3. Attends to inquiries of employees and suppliers and performs regular reconciliation of accounts.

5. Performs monitoring, analysis and preparation of schedules of ledger accounts such as but not limited to; Bank Reconciliations, Advances, Inventory Accounts, Deferrals, Prepayments, Accruals, Aging and schedules of Payables and Retirement benefits liability accounts to ascertain completeness, accuracy of recording made as well as the account balances.

6. Performs reconciliations of ledger accounts such as but not limited to; Aging and Schedules of Receivalbes, Unbilled Charges, Deposits, PPE Accounts, Accrual of business taxes, Advances form the clients, Payroll-related accounts, Intercompany Accounts: Shipside Inc. and DMTC.

7. Systematically arranges, sort, labels and files all Account Payable vouchers (APV) to ensure timely submission for payment processing based on maturities and priorities.

• Graduate of BS Accountancy
• 1-2 yeas of work experience in related field
• Certified public Accountant (CPA) or any finance related certification is an advantage
• Knowledgeable in using MS office program
• With sound knowledge in using MS office programs
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
