Internal Audit Head  

The Internal Audit Head will be required to manage the provision of a complete audit service to the authority which will include systems, risks, regularities, computers, and contract audits.

• Ensure plan will be regarded as flexible rather than as an immutable expression of audit policy/coverage.
• Update the plan regularly to reflect changes in the Authority’s priorities and risks.
• Submit the annual plan for formal agreement by the Audit committee.
• Undertake a mixture of systems based and risk-based reviews of those items agreed as part of the annual audit plan.
• Ensure a system of close supervision of audit work and maintain a review of audit files.
• Prepare an annual report on audit activities for presentation to the audit committee.
  • This annual report will give an opinion on the whole of its internal control system.
• Ensure all audit work is completed to high standards and in accordance with appropriate professional standards.
• Undertake an annual review of the development and training needs of auditors and arrange for this to be provided.
• Establish effective relationships with Managers at all levels and the external auditors.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the service delivered and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide appropriate inputs to the Annual Governance Statement or other assurance mechanisms of the authority.
• Provide resources for the investigation of fraud, irregularities, and the operation of the confidential reporting code.
• Work in conjunction with the bank’s external auditors under the concept of “managed audit”, whereby the external audit places reliance on Internal Audit work.
• Support management to understand exposure to risks and advise on risk management principals/methods.
• Internal audit will also respond to requests for support, advice, and guidance on implementing or improving best practice control procedures for current and new systems.
• Provide support, advice, and guidance to staffs involved in the design and implementation of new systems and processes.
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

• At least a Bachelor's / College degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or any equivalent course.
• At least 5 years of work experience in the related field.
• Preferably with experience as an Assistant Manager / Manager specializing in Internal Audit and/or External Audit.
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is an advantage.
• Willing to work in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
