Data Engineer: for pooling

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining sample and survey databases that power our data division.

This full-time role is best suited to candidates with 5+ years of Data Engineer experience or similar role, with a strong focus on building and maintaining databases and data ETL pipelines.

Collaborating alongside a Manila-based team, you'll engage with a diverse group of professionals working towards cutting-edge technologies. You will benefit from the in-depth experience of the people you will work with.

As a Data Engineer, you will:

• Advise and implement best practice data management strategies across our databases.
• Train, lead and support the team in manipulation and management of the databases.
• Mange the integration of database technologies with other existing business systems.
• Build ETL pipelines.
• Implement strategies to keep data current.
• Ensure zero down-time of database technologies.

• Strong desire to build and ship code every day.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on building and maintaining databases and data ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts and experience with data integration and
  transformation.
• Strong programming skills in languages like Python or Javascript, with the ability to write efficient and maintainable code.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with data modeling and database design principles.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve
  issues in data pipelines and databases.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Amenable to work on a hybrid arrangement.
