Software Security Engineer  

The Engineer will help security-conscious customers accept our SaaS products for purchase, and is essential to Articulate’s next phase of growth. This role seeks to deeply understand Articulate’s security and compliance structure and is simultaneously terrific with customers.

What you'll do

• Respond to security questionnaires from customers who are evaluating our SaaS products.
• Do so with a sense of urgency and complete attention to detail. This requires using our knowledge base of responses but also includes creative research and an innate curiosity for unearthing the right answer wherever it may be.
• Respond to inquiries related to GDPR and our Articulate’s Privacy Policy (especially the Your Rights and Inquiries and Complaints section), including opt-out requests.
• Build and manage an excellent knowledge base of security-related documentation, reducing burdens and streamlining for a better customer experience.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in pre and post-sale conversations.
• Research certification processes. For example, we might ask you to research a new certification option (such as Cloud Security Alliance) and what it requires, and present that back to the team, along with recommendations for getting started.

What you should have

• 3-5 years of experience corresponding with SaaS customers in a technical role.
• You are wildly great with SaaS customers, and you operate from a thoughtful, customer-first mindset.
• You’re passionate about owning and responding to surveys yourself, but humble enough to know when to ask for help.
• You’re flexible, collaborative, open to feedback, proactive, and able to manage projects from start to finish.
• You’re familiar with AWS-focused technical infrastructure
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, prospects, and customers.
• Unafraid of jumping into tense situations, with a love for turning frustrated prospects into successful customers.
• You love to help everyone: customers, peers, and the neighbor down the street.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to convey complex concepts concisely and clearly to customers with professionalism, empathy, and excellent grammar and spelling.
• Very self-motivated and self-directed.

• Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, and collaboration skills.
