Tentang BINHI English Literacy Foundation, Inc.
WHAT IS BINHI? Binhi is an English Literacy program inspired by Pratham, an innovative learning organization created to improve the quality of education and address gaps in India’s educational system. It has since helped more than 21 million marginalized children around India by collaborating with the government, local communities, parents, teachers, volunteers, and civil society members. OUR VISION BINHI’s vision is to keep EVERY Filipino child in school and learning well. We aim to secure our children beneficiaries’ preparedness for the challenges and expectations of school by minimizing the lag in literacy skills among pre-primary and primary grade pupils in the public schools and in the community learning centers. We believe that a prepared child is a child who is very likely to finish school. With the help of partners and sponsors, the BINHI English Literacy Foundation is able to help schools and communities focus on the crucial aspect of a primary school child’s education: the ability to read. As a non-government organization (NGO), BINHI provides support to the Department of Education (DepEd) in creating a wider base of literate students in the Kindergarten and elementary level (grades 1, 2 & 3).
