Site IT Lead  

Role Definition:

Working closely with Corporate and site IT personnel, the incumbent will function as a combination regional and local Infrastructure Project Manager, Compliance and Security Controls Support Coordinator, Backup and Recovery Support Specialist. The role reports into corporate IT with the dotted line to the Regional IT Manager. Hands on skills and a strong end user support orientation are a must.

Responsibilities:

• Compliance / Systems Security & Controls
  • Optimizing site systems security / adherence to FMC I.T. policies & standards. Ensuring that the site is compliant with all IT related SOX, audit and other legislative requirements (both internal and external)
  • Management of Change. Coordinating and working with local site IT Infrastructure experts to ensure that appropriate scheduling, documenting and testing of all applied changes to operating systems, firmware, utilities such as anti-virus software and server management tools is done.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining all backup and recovery support & business continuity activities for all location-specific computer systems and infrastructure.
• Infrastructure & General Systems - Standardization, Support and Development
  • Working closely with the Corporate IT operations and infrastructure organizations to deploy and leverage FMC’s full range of global infrastructure capabilities, competencies and tools. Ensuring that infrastructure monitoring tasks associated with the local site are scheduled and completed.
  • Working closely with local site experts to ensure that 1st and 2nd level support services for users of professional computing (office computing) products and services in FMC’s portfolio such as: Windows, MS Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Desktops, Laptops, mobile devices, Network access and Collaborative Tools are optimized. Participating actively in such support activities as needed.
  • Support site and regional network data and voice infrastructure
  • Support site and regional windows based server and client platforms in both a virtual and bare metal infrastructure environment
  • Manage the backup, restore and disaster recovery program at the site level

  • Supporting the delivery of local and regional IT related services and projects. Examples of this would be providing project management experience for office relocations and site IT infrastructure upgrades.
  • Managing IT related costs at the site level; (budget / capital plan) helping to reduce costs where appropriate and identifying cost saving opportunities at the location.
  • Liaison and interaction with local management team/s.
  • Lead multiple IT projects simultaneously
  • Vendor management - Maintenance contract & service agreement reviews & negotiations
  • Providing informal guidance and support to other regional IT leaders
  • Coach and mentor local and regional IT resources
    

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or other management related disciplines

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in an information technology role spanning IT operations, program design, development and implementation
• Minimum of 2 years experience delivering and supporting infrastructure centric systems in a complex multi-layered environment
• Operating systems (OS) and server management experience
• Data and voice network systems management experience
• Demonstrates the technical ability, knowledge and proactivity to quickly integrate, implement and document new technologies
• Minimum of 2 years project management experience including; timeline planning, resource allocation, and budget controlDemonstrates skill in solving real business informational analysis problems. (Business applications skills would be an advantage)
• Successfully demonstrates leadership capabilities
• Demonstrates strong communication skills that would be useful across different groups and geographies
