Quality Analyst  

The Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring that products such as websites, themes, and plugins conform to standards by executing test plans.

Test plans for websites cover requirements that developers and project leaders must complete when projects launch. The process involves creation of proper documentation, cross-browser checks, and making sure that the final product adheres to client requirements.

He/She also reviews in-house themes and plugins to help minimize bugs after deployment, and coordinates with the product development to fix issues.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual and automation testing procedures on websites/applications
• Effectively work in an agile environment
• Create test cases and debug issues as necessary
• Attend all required meetings (retro/planning) and participate in daily scrum meetings
• Contribute to the test workflow accountability
• Responsible for user acceptance testing and cross-browser testing
• Report issues to the developers and other project stakeholders
• Translate test plans into automated test cases and update existing ones
• Formulate new test plans based on user stories
• Coordinate with the DevOps team to ensure that testing infrastructure runs smoothly
• Provide documentation on the automation workflow
• Provide process improvement suggestions
• Generate reports for managers and stakeholders
• Participate in internal and cross-team training
• Contribute to the development of training materials and definement of project timelines
• Contribute and participate in all product release activities

Requirements:

• Knowledge on manual testing procedures (knowledge/experience on automation is a plus)
• Working knowledge on Version Control: GitHub, Bitbucket
• Working knowledge on agile methodology
• Ability to effectively write and understand technical documentation
• Ability to code unit tests and experience with continuous integration
• Ability to translate business, functional, and technical requirements into clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task independently with minimal managerial oversight, deliver quality deliverables against strict deadlines
