Full Stack Developer | Project based  

The Role

We are looking for an experienced software developer with a strong understanding & appreciation of fundamental software development principles & practices to join our growing Engineering team.

Our current technical stack consists mainly of PHP Laravel applications & MySQL databases hosted on AWS and we are looking for candidates with strong recent experience in this stack.

Responsibilities

• Build highly resilient & performant solutions across our key systems that support business operations
• Execute to our delivery methodology with discipline and consistency
• Ensure high quality implementation through best practice coding standards and development practices that ensure robust, fault tolerant and observable solutions
• Work closely with the Technical Lead to implement technical solution based on specifications & user stories provided and complete on time independently
• Be a champion of our delivery methodology within the team and contribute to it’s ongoing evolution & improvement
• Work with IT Ops and our Applications Specialists to ensure our systems function optimally in production, proactively identifying potential
• Issues and resolving them before they impact operations

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of software development experience and at least 2 years in a senior role
• Excellent time management and process execution with consistent delivery on time
• Full-stack developer with strong experience building solutions all the way from UI down to complex SQL queries with RDBMS relational
• Database design & performance tuning - this is not a web developer role
• Highly skilled at producing high quality, useful unit & feature tests with good code coverage
• AWS experience is looked on favourably
• Can work on this project for 6 months with the potential for extension based on their business needs.
