Back End Developer  

What we're looking for

Ascent is looking for a Full Stack Developer who can work closely with senior leaders to shape how we build and grow our platform in the region. You'll be working as part of a team, creating innovative new features and maintaining existing ones for Ascent. If you have a keen eye for details and high standards for code quality and efficiency, we’d love to talk to you!

Responsibilities

• Work in small cross-discipline teams
• Build and maintain high-quality code for our web applications
• Extend and improve our API
• Build internal tools for our flight and operations teams
• Write tests to ensure quality output
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as part of the project management process
• Contribute to the UI/UX design

• Diploma or Degree in any software development related field with at least 2 years of experience writing code and working with Web Technologies
• 3+ years working on building production level applications
• Experience working with similar backend frameworks like NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, Scala
• Experience working with similar databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Experience working with similar cloud services like AWS, Heroku, Google Cloud
• Familiar with Agile development and version control tools
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficient English Skills
