Cost Accountant Sr. Specialist | Pooling | Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu  

This position is responsible for Reviewing and analyzing direct costs, inventory, intangible assets and PP&E transactions and report to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Performs and ensures accurate, complete and timely month-end closing activities for transactions relating to direct cost (e.g. Fuel, Preventive and corrective maintenance cost, etc.), Inventory, Intangible Assets and Property Plant and Equipment (PP&E).
• Collects, validates, reviews, classifies and records direct costs, Inventory, Intangible Assets and PP&E transactions and reports in conformity with company policies and procedure, accounting standards and prevailing government regulations.
• Performs reconciliation and analysis of fuel and variable costs related to power generation and compares factors affecting energy prices and profitability such as prices and quantity (volume).
• Analyze variable costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual costs.
• Analyze direct costs, Inventory, Intangible Assets and PP&E reports and recommend cost savings and cost-effective improvements.
• Complies with internal and external audit requirements relating to direct costs, inventory, intangible assets and PP&E.
• Manages and resolves internal and external audit findings and ensures that these findings will not recur.
• Performs audit function including the Supplies and Materials Inventory count and Fuel Sounding. Coordinates and recommends with the supply chain group for the resolution of any identified discrepancies, obsolete and, missing items; and ensures proper and timely execution of duly approved resolutions and accounting disposition.

• Professional: At least 3 years work experience in Accounting or 1 year in Cost/ Management Accounting
• Leadership Experience: None
• Project Experience: At least 1 year or has led 1-2 projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant or relevant certifications
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
