Deskripsi Pekerjaan
- Provides guidance, advice, opinions on, and ensures compliance by the different business units of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates (the "Group") with all laws and regulations relating to labor standards, occupational health and safety, and labor relations that are applicable to the Group.
- Assists the relevant business units and Litigation Group of AEV Legal Management Services as necessary in connection with labor law-related actions or proceedings before legal committees, labor offices, administrative boards and quasi-judicial bodies.
- Provides a rapid and effective response to situations where significant unanticipated legal threats to the Group arise in connection with actual or potential violation of labor laws and regulations
- Ensures that the AVP - Labor Relations and Compliance, the VP - Legal Management Services, the Chief Legal officer and other relevant team leaders/members within the Group are kept fully abreast of the changes in and the impact of existing and potential legal developments and requirements involving labor laws and regulations, and providing appropriate oral and written interpretations as necessary.
- Also assists the Senior Associate Legal Counsel, AVP – Labor and Litigation or the Chief Legal Officer in the assessment of external counsel's quality of services and effectiveness
Kualifikasi Minimum
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Laws/Doctor of Jurisprudence
- Has at least five (5) years of professional legal experience in private practice and/or as an in-house lawyer, including exposure to and experience in handling employer-employee matters
- Member in good standing of Philippine Bar
- Competencies: Written and oral communication, research skills and analytical abilities, work ethic and judgment, emotional intelligence and innovative adaptable
