Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing inputs and playing an active role in the formulation of: (1) the necessary procedures and protocols to monitor and ensure: (a) compliance with AIC’s contractual obligations under its project agreements; and (b) compliance with internal group processes on the approval of projects and business endeavors; and (2) a central database of all major permits required of AIC and its subsidiaries.

Upon formulation and roll-out of these procedures, the Compliance Specialist will be primarily in charge of monitoring compliance by AIC head office and will be the primary point-of-contact of the Compliance Officers of the respective business units of AIC.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist the AVP – Structuring and Regulatory Compliance and actively participate in the setting up of the central database of all major and periodic permits needed by AIC and its subsidiaries
• Assist the AVP – Structuring and Regulatory Compliance and actively participate in the setting up of procedures, protocols, and monitoring tools for the compliance requirements of AIC and its subsidiaries
• Actively participate in the cascade of the regulatory compliance checklists to the appropriate AIC Business Units
• Monitor and track compliance of AIC and appropriate AIC Business Units with procedures defined with regard to contractual and regulatory obligations under their respective project agreements
• Identify potential areas of non-compliance and develops mitigating measures to address the issues
• Liaise with the different compliance officers of AIC Business Units and with different AIC team leaders and team members as may be necessary

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business-related courses, Public Administration, or Political Science
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a publicly-listed corporation or conglomerate
• Has experience working in highly-regulated industries
