Test Analyst  

To work within the TAS Manila Test Team providing test support to the TAS (UK) UAT Team.

Working with the TAS (UK) UAT Team you will provide test support for the implementation of new functionality and the maintenance of existing functionality within our systems.

This role would ideally suit someone who has had previous experience in a Test Analyst role and who is also familiar with all aspects of both DB and DC administration.

The role of the Test Analyst will include:-

• Assist with the testing of business driven projects.
• Assist in the appropriate test documentation in collaboration with the UAT Team Leader, to ensure effective test preparation and test execution is produced.
• Working with the UAT Team analysing test requirements, creating and documenting test cases.
• Assisting with the execution of UAT in accordance with agreed test cases and test plans.
• Identify and accurately recording test defects.
• Supporting the UAT Team Leader and providing effective communication to them, including test progress reports, defect status etc.
• Working with TAS (UK) Business Analysts, Development and Support Teams.
• Participate in Project Meetings, where required.

After the initial training period, over agreed timescales and with experience gained –

• Become familiar with reviewing business requirements and producing own test cases and test data.
• To produce detailed Test Plans.
• Maintaining test documents such as but not limited to Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Data and Test Evidence in an agreed central document repository.

• Liaise with UAT Team Leader and Business Analysts to ensure that testing provides adequate requirements coverage.

Financial

• Responsible for assisting the UAT Team Leader with the managing and planning of testing activities and identifying any risks.

• Pass or above for Maths and English assessment, plus demonstrable work experience in either a Pensions Administration or Test Analyst role.
• A good understanding of DB and DC pension schemes (preferred but not essential).
• Prepared to pursue training in order to gain TAS (UK) System knowledge.
• Ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and flexible in managing multiple project priorities.
• Proven and demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills.
• Interpersonal skills to include excellent written and verbal communication.
• Good time management skills and the ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
• Computer literate with good IT skills, particularly MS Word and Excel.
• Experience of using a defect management tool such as Jira (preferred but not essential).
• ISTQB – ISEB Software Testing Foundation qualification (preferred but not essential).
