Job Description
- Tracks and monitors inpatient healthcare claimants by conducting regular hospital visitations and regular telephone monitoring.
- Coordinates with accredited physicians on the status of patients.
- Coordinates with hospital and clinic staff on status of accounts.
- Explains clearly to patients, the benefits and limitations of the medical services and assists them during confinement ( including facilitation of Philhealth deductions.)
- Computes for expenses, chargeable to patients, and facilitates patient’s payment to the hospital before discharge.
- Establishes and maintains harmonious relationships with the coordinator, accredited physicians and significant departments of accredited hospitals/clinics.
- Participates in the accreditation of additional healthcare providers.
- Attends to all inquiries of members and accredited providers on medical service availments.
- Conducts daily search for confinement to all high volume hospitals.
- Completes documentation of all requests for claims payments from hospitals and doctors, and forwards to Claims.
- Distribution of checks to all providers within his/her area.
- Collection of consultation and referral form from plan coordinator.
- Attends to queries through the telephone hotline.
- Assists in conducting program orientations to hospital, doctors and clients.
- Trouble shoots problems with accredited service providers and members.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any course.
- Nursing graduate has an advantage (with or without license).
- Experience in handling insurance claims is a plus.
- Proficient typing skills.
- Computer literate.
- Willing to travel.
