Google Ads Specialist  

The Google Ads Specialist is responsible for supporting clients and the digital marketing team in executing paid ads campaigns, specifically Google and Bing PPC.

As a Google Ads Specialist, you will;

1. Execute search engine marketing processes and best practices within standards

• Implement Google/Bing PPC strategy and conduct assessment and recommendations.
• Setup PPC campaign ads for Google and Bing
• Setup PPC tools to track website traffic and performance (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console, Google data studio, and other technical settings)
• Understanding the client’s marketing plan and developing and implementing strategies to attract, convert and connect, that are aligned to the business brand and target markets
• Regularly communicating with the client via the agreed communication channels (Skype, Microsoft Teams, Basecamp, ActiveCollab, etc)

2. Get, want, and have the capacity to fulfill the requirements of the seat

• Understanding and accomplishing training necessary to equip him or her with skills required for more advanced PPC tasks
• Increasing skill sets as team member grows within the PPC team / account team

3. Fulfillment of Key Performance Indicators

• Monitoring and evaluating marketing processes and activities performed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Collaborating with various departments and/or account managers, counterparts to meet the marketing goals
• Generating and interpreting marketing reports into actionable strategies based on data such as clicks, conversion, other marketing KPIs, turnaround times and quality scores

4. Serve as a back-up/cover resource for key clients when needed

• Accomplishing training in key client processes
• Providing back up support for key clients when needed such as during an Maternity Leave or Sick Leave of a marketer working in a key account
• Changing work schedules for supporting key clients when needed

5. Leadership and Management Accountabilities (LMA) for digital marketing team members and placing the right people (RP) in the right seats (RS)

Lead:

• Providing technical onboarding for new team members to assist them with acclimating into their roles and into StraightArrow’s culture
• Providing regular feedback (immediately, weekly, monthly, quarterly) to members of the account team both on individual or team performance
• Acting on a consultant capacity to SEM team leaders and operations managers of key accounts in identifying, discussing and solving issues related to operations and people management
• Monitoring and managing team happiness for members of the account team and (Identify, Discuss, Solve) IDS’ing their issues with account assignments, outlined roles and workload as well as questions on company policy in collaboration with the Human Resources team

Manage:

• Assisting in scoping new projects/ accounts during the discovery phase or annual business review
• Monitoring client satisfaction ratings (CSAT) for team member performance and identifying, discussing and solving issues related to low CSAT
• Monitoring and IDS’ing issues with quality and marketing key performance indicators for accounts managed by team members (Traffic, Conversions, Ad Spend).

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Technology, Digital Marketing, and other related courses.
• At least 5-6 years industry experience in search engine marketing and PPC.
• At least 2 years experience in leading a dynamic team:
• Experience in goal-setting with a history of achieving set goals (related to marketing strategy, operations or others) through his/her team.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring younger professionals successfully.
• Experience in conflict management & resolution.
• Can work remotely Mon-Fri on a UK shift (4pm-1am)
• Must have a stable internet connection with speed of at least 25mbps (Fiber Connection)
